Coby Kyros MID7015 Full
Review
The Coby Kyros MID7015 is a 7-inch, Android 2.1 tablet developed by Coby USA. The Coby Kyros
MID7015 is a well-built tablet, it is very sturdy and good looking. It comes with a resistive touchscreen
(pressure based) which is not as sensitive as a capacitive touchscreen (multitouch, no pressure
needed). However, there are many tablets on the market that currently have a resistive touchscreen and
on most of them you get a decent touch experience. You get a nice stylus which you can use instead of your
finger to click on smaller icons. The stylus is tucked into the corner of the upper right panel; it isn't necessary to
operate the screen, but can be helpful when trying to select small text on a Web page.
Coby
Kyros MID7015 features 4GB internal memory, microSD card
(expandable up to 16GB), an HDMI port (enjoy full 1080p on your HDTV), a full size USB connection (which
enables you to connect a keyboard to your tablet). Measuring 7.5 by 0.5 by 4.8 inches with a 7-inch, 800-by-400-pixel resistive touch
screen, the Kyros MID7015 is a mid-size tablet. The Kyros MID7015 also comes with earphones along with a power adapter, a
screen-cleaning cloth, and a mini-USB sync cable.
One major issue with the Coby Kyros MID7015 is the APPS market that
comes with it. It does have some good apps, but you are limited to about 3,000 apps. In order to use the
Googe standard app market, you need to root the tablet (just google up the ULTIMATE KYROS 7015 and look
for a website that is like XDA developers) - this is not recommended by the manufacturer or Google, so do
this at your own risk.
You can use the Coby Kyros tablet for wireless Internet, Email, eReader, MP3 player, overall it is a
really nice tablet that fits in a larger pocket and you get a great value for your
money.
