Coby Kyros MID7024 Full
Review
Coby Kyros MID7024 is a 7-inch tablet which runs Android 2.2. It is powered by a
Samsung S5PV210 ARM Cortex Z8 procesor at 1GHz and it has 512 MB of RAM. Similar to Coby Kyros MID7015
(its predecessor), it comes with a resistive touchscreen (800 x 480 screen resolution). It is light and
thin, but feels very solid and well built.
Coby Kyros MID7024 also features a front-facing camera, an HDMI output, a microSD slot, a standard
mini-USB, Wi-Fi and 4GB of built-in flash memory. One nice feature of the Kyros MID7024 is that you can
get Flash player on it (you can watch YouTube videos, Hulu, ESPN, play flash games online). The
Kyros comes with a thin Palm type stylus. It's cheap but it does the job.
The Kyros MID7024's screen is very clear and bright. It has very sensitive buttons which are lit
when touched. The battery life is great (about 5-6 hours).
One major flaw of this tab was the lack of the real Android Market. If you go to androidtablets.net and
do a quick search you can find a thread complete with instructions and a link to download the market from
your pc to your sd card. The Android Market is far superior to appslib and has much more apps.
Not to mention they seem to download faster then applsib or the amazon app store. It's also worth noting
that installing the market this way doesn't require you to root the device.
WIFI wireless - setup is quick and easy. Yu can get connected to the internet using
both G and N network protocols. The fact that the Kryos WIFI connectivity is limited to wireless B
or G networks is irrelevant. Wireless N routers are backward compatible.
Use the Coby Kyros MID7024 to browse the web, check email, watch video, read books. Overall, it is a very
nice and affordable tablet.
