Motion J3500 Full
Review
Motion J3500 Tablet is made by Motion Computing and it is a special rugged tablet for
professionals that need a robust device for harsh work environments. It's got a 12.1-inch display with
Gorilla Glass and a dual pen and touch input. Motion J3500 tablet runs Windows 7 Professional and it comes
with a choice of 160GB hard drive or you can choose to get the 64GB or 128GB SSD (solid
state drive).
Motion J3500 features an Intel Core i7 vPro Processor (1.2GHz) or an Intel Core i5 vPro Processor (1.06
GHz) and Intel Anti-Theft Technology (Intel AT). It comes with 2GB of RAM (upgradable to 4GM max), GPS
(with Gobi 2000 WWAN option) supports geo-tagging and date stamp of camera captured images, optional
integrated digital camera/video available with illuminator light and image software, battery charger,
FlexDock and spill-resistant Mobile Keyboard. The dual battery capability gives up to 7 hours of
continuous use.
The Motion J3500 tablet is solid built, durable with the fuctionality of a rugged PC but without the
extra weight. It is built to be carried all day with its rounded corners, slip-free grip surfaces and
lightweight design. The J3500 can be customized for all day field or desktop office use.
Now available with dual touch technology, the J3500 Tablet PC enables mobile workers to
take advantage of the natural gesture navigation features built in Windows 7 and other software
applications. Optimized for digitizer pen and touch input, users can navigate both touch-enabled software
applications or legacy programs with smaller targets that require the accuracy of pen input. For
more flexibility, palm rejection technology distinguishes between intentional and false touch while
stylus recognition enables users to easily switch between input modes.
For
the best slate tablet PC viewing experience the J3500 is available with Motion’s View
Anywhere technology and Gorilla Glass with the
Hydis AFFS+ LED
Backlight, wide screen display for superior outdoor visibility and up to 4 times improvement
in breakage resistance (2). The J3500 is tested and proven to withstand harsh working
environments. Tested to meet MIL-STD 810G specifications and also IP52
rated for protection against dust and moisture.
